This travelling experience is 5 years old.Yet it stays fresh in my
memories. OK.Lets start.
It was the end of third semester exams for me. As
usual I packed up my things and got ready for my journey to home from our
hostel. I walked to my college bus stop and got into a bus with my
friends heading towards Madurai. As expected rain came (Nisha Storm)
lashing as we reached Madurai bus stand. My friends also moved
towards their respective bus for their home town. For me there was one old
No.139 bus to Chennai . I think most of you know this route and
buses(NH-45). Bus was like a dark dungeon with dim light and rain
water entering the bus through window. So I thought of alternate way. As
expected some private bus people came and started speaking about their bus.
Initially I refused but I fell into their trap.
I
was the second one to enter that private bus. Another one guy to Trichy. After
one hour ,almost 11 people were there and bus started moving. I slept half way
and as soon as bus stopped I went out and gave a phone call to father (our college doesn't allow mobile phones ). After
some hours bus reached Trichy . At that time I realized I was the only traveler to Chennai . It was new experience for me and still it was raining
out. Again I started sleeping and after few hours bus reached Villupuram.
I woke up and they told the bus is not going to Chennai and left me in
Villupuram. Then I walked in that rain and reached Villupuram bus
stand. I saw the whole bus stand flooding with water. After some time i
decided to walk in that water above knee level and entered bus stand.
I was happy to see my friend over there waiting for his bus. Once again I
gave a call to my father. After some time I got the bus for my home town
and reached my home town. It was full of dark and had to walk to my
home. At last I made it and called ”amma ,amma “. Next day I was full
of fever.
That's it. Memories recalled.
Note :
My UG college : Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi.
